Seven firms awarded coveted agricultural prize

The most important new agricultural products were celebrated at the prestigious Agromek Award Show on the opening day of the largest Northern European agricultural fair, Agromek, which is held at the MCH Messecenter Herning from 29 November to 2 December.
122 new products within the agricultural industry were initially boiled down to 65 Agromek Stars and subsequently to 21 nominated products, and on Tuesday, this year’s seven winners of an Agromek Award were found and given their prizes. The award ceremony was hosted by the Chairman of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, Søren Søndergaard, and Claus Hermansen, Agromek CEO, who used the festive setting to talk about the high level among the many products.
- Claus Hermansen said: This year, the field was strong, and we thank everybody who has been part of Agromek Stars and the firms which have submitted the many new products.
The 21 nominated firms were divided into the categories ‘Energy’, ‘Crop management’, ‘Construction, road and park’, ‘Agricultural machinery, ‘Agricultural mechanisation’, and ‘Knowledge and Service’, and all products had already been awarded the coveted Agromek Stars.

Crop management
- Assentoft Silo (Randers) – Nitrogen generator for gas-tight silo.
Construction, road and park, plus tractors and combine harvesters
- Herborg Maskinforretning A/S (Videbæk) - Electric Variable Transmission.
Agricultural machinery
- Agro-Bag A/S (Bjæverskov) – Semi-automatic tool for secure emptying of bigbags.
- BioCover Data A/S (Vejen) – Waste indicator for manure nitrogen.
Agricultural mechanisation
- JH Agro A/S (Holstebro) – Fully automatic control system for dealing with manure in pig pens.
- Agrifarm (Bjerringbro) - 0-Emission system – solving the “green transition” issue in the world’s livestock production.
Knowledge & Service
- Best Farm A/S (Sunds) – the Software programme PIG-SIGNAL Management.
