SEGES Innovation expands ESGreenTool Climate – new integrations provide improved overview and automated climate data

The climate tool ESGreenTool Climate has been awarded one star at Agromek Stars 2025.
SEGES Innovation P/S introduces a series of new integrations in ESGreenTool Climate, making it even easier to gain a comprehensive and accurate overview of agriculture’s climate footprint. The tool now connects with several external systems – including Lyngsoe Systems, the Dairy Association´s FarmAhead, and Skovkortet.dk – saving time, minimizing double data entry, and ensuring smooth data transfer from the systems farmers already use in their daily operations.
With the new features, broiler producers supplying Rose Poultry and Danpo can now automatically calculate the climate footprint for each group in kg CO₂e per kg live chicken. The calculation is based directly on production data from existing systems, and the results are displayed in ESGreenTool Climate, giving users a complete overview of the farm’s total emissions.
Dairy producers also benefit from the expansion. An integration with the Danish Association´s FarmAhead Check enables climate footprint calculations for the entire farm – including crop production and other production branches – using seven key figures from FarmAhead. Data can be imported automatically with a single click, and several dairies such as Thise and Naturmælk have already adopted the solution.
Finally, the integration with Skovkortet.dk now allows forest CO₂ uptake to be included in the climate accounts. This provides a more holistic view of the farm’s total climate footprint, with forest carbon sequestration shown separately in accordance with official reporting practices.
The Agromek jury awards the innovation one star and comments:
- The ability to import and integrate data from third-party systems makes it much faster and easier to compile a complete climate account for the farm. The system returns product footprints to the production databases, and the results are displayed in ESGreenTool Climate, where users can get a full overview of their climate impact and work with scenarios for future production.
