New fully automatic slurry discharge system for pig barns

Hybrid Flow System has been awarded two stars at Agromek Stars 2025. The system automates slurry discharge and reduces the climate footprint.
Lind Jensens Maskinfabrik A/S is launching HFS – Hybrid Flow System, a new fully automatic slurry discharge system for pig barns. The solution eliminates heavy manual lifting and ensures smooth and frequent slurry removal, improving both the working environment and reducing the climate impact of barn operations. The system can be integrated directly into existing cable winch systems, where it automatically opens and closes slurry plugs at fixed, programmed intervals.
HFS records and logs all discharges, providing automatic documentation for logbook compliance with current regulations. Regular discharge contributes to improved barn climate by reducing methane emissions, odors, and ammonia vapors, while also enhancing the slurry’s quality for biogas production. At the same time, the system eliminates the need for manual lifting of slurry plugs, protecting the user and significantly improving ergonomics.
The Agromek jury highlights that HFS sets a new standard for automated slurry management:
