Minister for Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Jacob Jensen, will open Agromek this coming Tuesday, 26 November. Following the opening, four days covering the entire scope of agriculture with hundreds of exhibitors and a wealth of activities will unfold. The trade fair takes place at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark, 26-29 November.
Northern Europe's largest agricultural fair will start in the most high-profile manner when Jacob Jensen, the Minister for Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, delivers the opening speech on Tuesday morning. After the welcoming remarks by Agromek Chairman Sten Andersen, Jacob Jensen will take over before the trade fair opens its many halls.
There will be plenty to explore in this year's edition of the leading exhibition, as the number of exhibitors is the highest in 10 years - 556 exhibitors are present across a total of 14 exhibition halls. Collectively, the exhibitors engage closely with Agromek's seven sectors - 'agricultural machinery,' 'tractors and combine harvesters,' 'crop management,' 'livestock equipment,' 'energy,' 'knowledge & service,' and 'construction, road and park.'
12 tractor brands and a hall dedicated to energy
Notably, the fair this year includes no fewer than 12 tractor brands, thus encompassing almost the entire tractor market in Denmark. This is a significant upgrade compared to the 2022 edition, and the represented brands are as follows: Claas, JCB, Deutz-Fahr, John Deere, Fendt, Valtra, New Holland, Case IH, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, Zetor, and McCormick.
A significant new feature at this year's Agromek is a new energy hall, which focuses on biogas and pyrolysis. Energy, especially in light of the green tripartie agreement, is more relevant than ever, and with a hall dedicated to this area, visitors have ample opportunity to delve into these topics and keep up with developments.
Cattle, apprentices, and award ceremony
Agromek 2024 features an extensive program of 60 activities, including presentations on the Main Stage and the Energy Stage. The Main Stage hosts a range of talks on knowledge and innovation, while the Energy Stage highlights topics such as biogas.
Additionally, visitors can look forward to VikingDenmark's cattle exhibition, which alongside the beef cattle show, presents the latest knowledge on cattle breeding, data collection, and technology.
At the Danish Association for Construction and Building's industry stand, numerous exciting activities await - a live workshop where visitors can experience apprentices at work, the competition for Denmark's Best Apprentice in the agricultural machinery mechanic category, and the opportunity to compete against each other in 'Farming Simulator.' The stand is located in Hall C, focusing on construction, road, and park.
Already on the first day of the trade fair, the Agromek Award Show will take place, celebrating the finest products that have already been honored with Agromek Stars.
