Equipment for slurry application and biogas plants
Efficient slurry application and reliable processing of demanding biomass place high demands on the equipment. At Agromek 2026, Vogelsang will present solutions for agriculture and the biogas industry that streamline operations and reduce the risk of downtime.
A broader range of slurry application equipment
The main new development in 2026 is the collaboration between Vogelsang and BeTEC, which gives farmers, contractors and machinery dealers access to an even broader range of slurry applicators. The portfolio includes SideClosing and BackClosing trailing shoe applicators as well as dribble bar applicators in different working widths and equipment levels.
The range makes it possible to select slurry application equipment that matches the machine, required capacity and available budget – from a simple, cost-effective solution to models with additional functions and equipment options.
The portfolio is complemented by slurry macerators, pumps and the XSplit® separator for efficient slurry handling and application.
The XSplit separator divides the slurry into solid and liquid fractions. The solid fraction can achieve a dry matter content of up to 40 per cent, while the liquid fraction is easier to pump and apply. Slurry separation can also reduce the storage capacity required and provide better options for transporting, storing and utilising the nutrients.
Reliable solutions for biogas plants
Varying feedstocks, high dry matter content, fibres and foreign matter can cause blockages, increased wear and inconsistent feeding. Vogelsang offers equipment for biogas plants that covers the process from feeding and pumping to maceration and mechanical treatment of the biomass.
The PreMix® solid matter feeder combines several process steps in one compact solution. Solid materials are mixed with liquid, macerated and pumped onwards as a homogeneous suspension. At the same time, heavy foreign matter is separated before it can damage pumps and other components. This results in more consistent feeding and makes different types of biomass easier to handle.
The HiCone® progressive cavity pump is designed for demanding media with a high dry matter content. Its conical rotor and stator can be adjusted during operation, compensating for wear without immediately replacing the components. This helps maintain pump performance, extend service intervals and reduce operating costs.
The DisRuptor® mechanical disintegration system reduces the biomass and increases the material’s available surface area. Experience from biogas plants shows that mechanical treatment can make the biomass easier to pump and mix. The more homogeneous biomass can also contribute to a stable process and improved utilisation of the feedstocks.
The portfolio also includes rotary lobe pumps, macerators and grinders for transporting and processing demanding media. The solutions can be adapted to both existing and new biogas plants, with a focus on reliable operation, efficient biomass processing and lower servicing and wear-part costs.
