XSplit® press screw separator – efficient slurry separation

When slurry needs to be stored, transported and spread, efficient separation can make handling considerably easier. The XSplit® separator divides slurry into solid and liquid fractions, creating new opportunities for improved nutrient utilisation.

The separator offers a throughput of up to 50 m³/h and can achieve a dry matter content of up to 40% in the solid fraction. The liquid fraction is easier to pump, agitate and spread evenly, while the solid fraction takes up less space and is easier to store and transport.

In biogas plants, the liquid fraction can also be used to reduce the viscosity in the digester. This can make pumping and mixing easier while reducing the risk of floating layers and sediment build-up.

Designed for reliable operation and fast servicing

The drive is positioned at the solid matter outlet and therefore has no contact with the liquid during separation. The design does not require an additional mechanical seal or radial shaft seal. This reduces the number of wear parts and contributes to reliable operation and a favourable total cost of ownership.

The pressing area can be adjusted to suit the material being separated and the required dry matter content. A wear-resistant elastomer disc ensures reliable plug formation without the use of additional auxiliary agents.

The sieve basket consists of three separate sieve elements, which can be replaced individually. A large service cover provides quick access to both the sieve basket and the screw, allowing maintenance to be completed quickly and efficiently.
