BlackBird® trailing shoe applicators – precise slurry spreading from 7.5 to 30 metres

Uneven slurry distribution can lead to nutrient losses, crop contamination and inconsistent growth across the field. The BlackBird® trailing shoe applicators place slurry in narrow bands close to the ground and beneath the crop. This reduces ammonia losses and makes the nutrients more readily available to the plants.

The PrecisionFlow outlet reduces the slurry flow velocity, while the trailing shoe separates the crop and places the slurry accurately at the base of the plants. Optimised hose routing ensures that the slurry reaches the ground almost simultaneously across the entire working width. This prevents the V-shaped distribution pattern that can otherwise occur during start-up.

Choose between GreenLine and RedLine

As part of the Vogelsang-BeTEC product portfolio, the BlackBird® Single, Light and Pro slurry applicators are available in GreenLine and RedLine versions.

GreenLine is the cost-effective base solution for farms and agricultural contractors requiring accurate and reliable slurry spreading with a straightforward equipment level.

RedLine is the advanced version, offering a wider choice of equipment packages and options for operations with demanding capacity, precision and automation requirements.

The BlackBird® Max slurry applicator is available as a RedLine version with a working width of 30 metres.

Four models for different requirements:

The BlackBird® Single slurry applicator offers working widths from 7.5 to 12 metres. Its compact, lightweight design makes it suitable for smaller farms and retrofitting to existing slurry tankers.

The BlackBird® Light slurry applicator offers working widths of 12 and 15 metres. It combines low weight with high stability and is designed for standard slurry tankers.

The BlackBird® Pro slurry applicator is available in working widths of 12, 15 and 18 metres. This professional model is designed for high output and precise ground contour following. A 15-metre model equipped with ExaCut ECQ precision distributors achieved the DLG rating “Sehr gut”.

The BlackBird® Max slurry applicator has a working width of 30 metres. Independent height and pendulum compensation ensure uniform slurry placement, even on undulating ground.
