In 1996, TransPork was introduced as a new dry-feeding system from SKIOLD. This year, the system is celebrating its 30th anniversary – and TransPork remains an integral part of everyday life for pig farmers worldwide.
Three decades is a long time in an industry where production, technology and feeding requirements have evolved significantly. Nevertheless, TransPork has maintained its position thanks to its robust design, high reliability and flexibility, which make the system suitable for a wide range of housing solutions.
Since its launch, around 200,000 kilometres of TransPork wire have been sold – a clear sign that the solution has proven its worth in practice.
But what exactly has made TransPork a system that can last for 30 years?
We take a closer look at the history, design and features that continue to make TransPork relevant in modern pig production.
We will, of course, be showcasing TransPork at Agromek 2026, where you can meet us for a chat about dry feeding, TransPork and the opportunities for your farm.
