Linka® Heavy-Duty Walking Floor for automatic biomass handling and continuous feedstock supply to biogas production.
At Ausumgaard Biogas near Hjerm, Denmark, Linka Energy has supplied a robust Walking Floor system for the automatic handling and feeding of slurry fibres. The biogas plant handles approximately 200,000 tonnes of biomass annually and operates around the clock.
The solution is integrated into the plant's drive-over silos and includes 12 hydraulically operated scraper arms, two hydraulic stations and 180 m² of Hardox flooring. The biomass is automatically conveyed to the existing feeding system.
The system has a capacity of up to 100 m³/h and provides buffer storage equivalent to approximately 1.5 days of operation. This ensures a continuous feedstock supply, reduces manual handling and contributes to reliable operation of the biogas plant.
