Efficient and reliable handling of solid biomass is essential for ensuring a continuous feedstock supply to biogas plants.
The Linka® Heavy-Duty Walking Floor is designed for the automatic handling and feeding of heavy and demanding biomass materials, including manure fibres, deep litter, agricultural residues, straw and grass.
The system consists of hydraulically driven scrapers that move the biomass towards the downstream conveying system. Its heavy-duty construction makes the solution suitable for large volumes of biomass and continuous operation, while reducing the need for manual handling.
The system can be designed for materials with a density of up to 600 kg/m³, a storage height of up to 4 metres and a discharge capacity of up to 100 m³/hour.
A Linka® Heavy-Duty Walking Floor has been supplied to a Danish biogas plant, where the system handles manure fibres as part of an operation processing approximately 200,000 tonnes of biomass annually. The installation also provides buffer capacity equivalent to approximately 1.5 days of operation.
The result is a robust and reliable solution for automatic biomass handling – designed to meet the demands of modern biogas production.
