IBP Farming ApS – Biological Farming in Practice

IBP Farming ApS develops and supplies equipment and consultancy services for biological farming based on Soil Food Web principles. Our products have been developed and field-tested over more than six years, with a focus on simple, reliable solutions. We supply solutions to farms of all sizes, both in Denmark and internationally.

At Agromek 2026, we will present our Compost Extractor, which enables the extraction of living biology from compost for direct application in the field. We will also showcase our Extract Distribution Kit for Seed Drills and Planters, which ensures precise placement of compost extract directly into the seed furrow.

As Soil Food Web consultants with a professional background in Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web methodology, we provide consultancy services to both conventional and organic farmers on implementing biological farming methods and adapting existing machinery.

We also offer microscopic analyses of soil and compost, examining the quantity and composition of soil biology and its potential to support plant growth and health. Microscopy is a key tool for assessing compost extract composition and determining the appropriate application rate and method.

Documented field trials show an average yield increase of 7–8% across several crops year over a five-year period. The trials were harvested using a small-plot combine harvester, with measured yield increases ranging from 0% to 20%.

In addition, we typically observe approximately 20% higher Brix readings in leaf sap, lower disease and insect pressure, and deeper, looser soil where biological activity has become established.

The only difference between the trial plots is the addition of biological life, either applied directly to the seeds or introduced as compost extract produced from just 5–20 kg of biologically complete compost per hectare.
