Biostimulant for Maize Increases Yield by 13% and Makes Phosphorus Placement Unnecessary

Many dairy farmers face challenges in obtaining approval for the amount of starter phosphorus fertiliser they would like to apply when sowing maize. For this reason, Søren Anker Sjølander chose in 2025 to use maize seed treated with the biostimulant SeedSpeed®, produced by the Funen-based company Nordic Microbes.
SeedSpeed® was applied on a 1-hectare strip within the farm’s maize field.
