A new vertical block cutter optimised for use with the Lely Vector feeding system. It produces taller vertical silage blocks, making them more precise and efficient for use in the Lely “Feed Kitchen”. The image shown represents an early illustration and not the finished product. The block cutter is still under development.


Expert description:
The vertical block cutter produces tall, vertical silage blocks that remain more stable and precisely shaped, which is particularly advantageous for use with the Lely Vector feeding system. Most existing block cutters produce rounded blocks due to the design of their cutting grab mechanism. This block cutter uses a set of self-sharpening knives that are pressed vertically through the silage by powerful hydraulic cylinders, ensuring clean and accurate cutting.
