In this presentation, Cristian Toscano will provide an overview of alternatives for utilizing CO2 produced by biogas plants.

Specifically, he will discuss the Tønder biogas plant, where 45,000 tons of CO2 per year are captured, liquefied, and transported to a Power-to-X facility in Kassø, southern Denmark.

At this facility, the CO2 is combined with hydrogen to produce e-methanol, which is used in the shipping industry. With an annual production of 32,000 tons of e-methanol, this project is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
