AutoTerrainPro is HARDI’s new boom management system for TWIN FORCE (24-36 m) and DELTA FORCE (24-39 m) sprayers. While conventional boom control systems measure the distance to the crop and then make corrections, AutoTerrainPro also measures the movement of the machine itself. A dynamic chassis sensor detects movement before it reaches the boom, allowing the system to counteract oscillations rather than merely correcting them afterwards. The centre section, SmartCylinder technology and hydraulic system are all designed to perform this active regulation.

Expert description:
The system has been developed to ensure maximum boom stability under varying field conditions. The dynamic chassis sensor detects machine movements before they affect the boom, and in combination with ultrasonic sensors delivers smoother boom operation. As a result, oscillations can be counteracted proactively rather than simply corrected afterwards.
The specially designed centre section, SmartCylinder technology and proportional hydraulic system work together to provide fast, precise and consistent adjustments. The result is a more stable boom height, reduced spray drift and improved spraying quality, even in uneven terrain.
