CLAAS ORBIS 9000 is a 9.00 m maize header developed to match the high capacity of the JAGUAR 1000. The wide transfer area and two independent drivetrains ensure a smooth crop flow into the throughflow channel, which is up to 910 mm wide. AUTO CONTOUR accurately follows the ground profile, while CEMOS AUTO HEADER automatically adjusts the operating speed of the front attachment. The ORBIS 9000 folds to a transport width of 3.00 m.

This innovation is awarded one star for its overall capacity upgrade, where the forage harvester and front attachment have been developed as one integrated solution. The 910 mm wide V-FLEX knife cylinder provides the widest crop flow on the market, while the new ORBIS maize headers feature independent drivetrains. The new PICK UP unit is the first to combine hydraulic pre-compression with separate, variable-speed drives for the pick-up and feed auger. This ensures a smooth crop transfer and enables full utilisation of the forage harvester’s increased capacity.
