Sukup launches Grain App for remote control and monitoring of grain silos
15/10/2026
A new solution combining remote control, operational data and grain storage documentation is recognised as a two-star Agromek innovation.
Sukup Europe A/S introduces Grain App, a solution for the remote control and monitoring of both existing and new silo installations. The app provides direct access to operating status, temperature and moisture data, as well as historical measurements from grain storage facilities via a smartphone.
Grain App can be connected to standard Sukup control systems for drying and aeration silos. The solution is supplied as a complete kit including an industrial mini-computer, a specially designed control board, modem, temperature and moisture sensors, and cloud-based data storage.
Through the app, users can remotely control functions such as agitators, fans and heat sources in either manual or automatic operating modes. The system can also store grain storage data for up to one year, enabling changes in temperature and moisture content to be documented over time.
The Agromek judging panel has awarded Grain App two stars. In its expert assessment, the panel particularly highlights the combination of silo monitoring and control of the drying process as the feature that elevates the solution.
“Modern farms often operate across multiple sites with several groups of silos. This makes the important task of drying and monitoring crop quality increasingly complex. The app therefore offers an important innovation by alerting the farmer to the early signs of quality deterioration, allowing drying or aeration to be initiated as a preventive measure. In addition, documentation of crop quality is a valuable selling point.”
Sukup Europe also highlights the ability to use the historical data as documentation of correct drying, cooling and storage procedures.
