LJM launches MAS300 for continuous slurry transport in cross channels

A modular auger scraper for long cross channels is recognised as a two-star Agromek innovation.

LJM – Lind Jensen presents MAS300, a new auger scraper designed to transport slurry from cross channels directly to the reception tank. The system uses a Ø300 mm auger and has been developed to provide a continuous flow regardless of when individual scraping runs discharge slurry into the channel.
MAS300 features a modular design and can be installed in lengths of up to 100 metres with a single drive station and up to 200 metres in a tandem configuration. The system generally requires a channel measuring 400 × 400 mm, while the volume above the auger can be adapted to suit individual requirements.
The auger is driven by a 4-kW geared motor operating at 10 rpm. The low rotational speed is intended to reduce load and wear, while the elevated position of the geared motor protects the drive system from slurry, moisture and surface water. The sections are connected using replaceable two-piece plain bearings.
The Agromek judging panel has awarded MAS300 two stars. In its final assessment, the panel particularly highlights the fact that slurry is conveyed by an auger rather than by traditional shovel or flap scrapers, resulting in greater capacity and a more continuous flow to the reception tank.
“The LJM MAS300 auger scraper is a new type of scraper for cross channels. Slurry is conveyed by an auger instead of traditional shovel or flap scrapers, providing greater capacity and a more continuous flow to the reception tank, regardless of how the slurry has been deposited in the cross channel,” the judging panel stated.
LJM also highlights the modular design and the ability to adapt the system to larger installations with long cross channels.
