FREEDA Walk-up enables step-by-step expansion of individual feeding

Agrisys combines RFID-based individual gilt feeding with the option of later upgrading to a protected ESF station and is awarded a two-star Agromek News.
Agrisys A/S presents the FREEDA Walk-up ESF, a compact and open solution for individual RFID-based feeding of gilts. Feed is dispensed in small portions according to each animal’s feeding curve and ration, allowing feeding to be tailored to the gilt’s development up to first insemination.
The system can be supplied for one or two feed types. With two feed types, a gradual transition between feed formulations can be created, enabling the feed composition to be continuously adjusted according to the gilt’s development and desired body condition.
A key feature of FREEDA Walk-up is its modular design. Should requirements change in the future, the open Walk-up solution can be expanded with a self-locking feeding stall and converted into a FREEDA Walk In ESF. This allows producers to start with a simpler gilt-feeding solution and later upgrade to protected individual feeding without replacing the basic system.
Agrisys highlights that the step-by-step expansion approach can provide greater investment flexibility and make it possible to adapt the installation to changes in herd size or production systems. At the same time, individual RFID feeding and the possibility of phase feeding are retained.
Agromek’s judging panel has awarded FREEDA Walk-up two stars.
