Agrometer brings hose and traffic pattern planning together in a single app

Field and Hose Planner plans supply hoses, connection points and traffic patterns for slurry application and is recognised as a two-star Agromek innovation.
Agrometer A/S presents Field and Hose Planner, a tablet-based application developed for planning slurry application using the company’s hose-fed applicator systems. The tool combines the machine’s working radius and implement width with field size, shape and tramline direction.
Based on this information, the app suggests the number and positioning of connection points between the supply hose and the machine’s hose reel. Users can also map buffer tanks, routes from the slurry tanks or buffer tank to the field, and any intermediate booster pumps, after which the app calculates the required hose length.
Other relevant features such as field entrances, wells, hydrants and road underpasses can also be marked on the map. Once a job has been planned, it can be saved and shared with the rest of the team, enabling both office staff and field operators to work from the same plan.
The Agromek judging panel has awarded Field and Hose Planner two stars. In its final assessment, the panel particularly highlights the ability to plan both the routing of supply hoses and the traffic pattern of the slurry applicator, as well as the positioning of connection points to optimise the area that can be covered from each location.
“The app makes it possible to create maps for individual jobs showing both supply hoses and connection points, while also visualising how far the machine’s hose can reach within the field to be fertilised with slurry. Field operators can then access the same map and use the plan directly in the field,” the judging panel noted.
According to Agrometer, the tool can be used with both current and previous applicator models. Saved jobs can be retrieved at a later date, enabling users to reuse previous plans and share operational history across teams.
