Expert description:

This system uses a washing robot to clean large boxes for potatoes, carrots, and other produce. The boxes to be washed are placed on a concrete floor, lined up along a track that guides the washing robot's direction. To rinse the "feet" of the boxes (such as runners or wooden blocks), the box feet are placed on narrow rubber belts with vulcanized studs, which lift the feet off the floor, allowing water to reach the standing surface. The boxes are spaced 0.3 - 0.4 meters apart to allow the robot to wash the exterior side surfaces as well. Although washing systems for large boxes at farm level have been on the market for some years, this innovation provides a completely new solution to the task. The system is simple in design and comprises a washing robot, guide rail, high-pressure hose, studded rubber belts, and a remote control so that the robot can be operated from a forklift. The washing robot utilizes the existing high-pressure cleaners (pumps) available to the potato grower.
