Skov A/S presents SmartHeat.

SmartHeat is a heating unit, flow meter, and software upgrade for the barn computer. The heating unit features a 0-10V controller and includes a circulation pump, a 0-10V actuator, a 3-way control valve, a check valve, and a ball valve, along with two DOL 12-100C temperature sensors. The DOL 12-100C temperature sensors enable monitoring of flow and return temperatures in the barn computer.

With SmartHeat, water flow and flow and return temperatures for a barn or section can be measured and recorded. Based on these measurements, the barn computer and the management program FarmOnline can calculate and log real-time heat consumption in kilowatts (kW) as well as the amount of kilowatt-hours (kWh) used for the current barn or section. SmartHeat allows the barn computer to trigger alarms for insufficient water flow and for low flow temperature.

SmartHeat provides consumption data that can also be used for ESG reporting.
