Product description:

You no longer need to constantly seek out information on salmonella infection; a new alarm will notify you in DMS when the infection has reached your neighborhood. You can act proactively and stay ahead of the potential major health and economic consequences, allowing you to implement the necessary measures and precautions. The salmonella alarm even comes with recommendations on where you can take action.

Expert description:

Users in DMS receive a salmonella alert as soon as a neighboring herd within 10 km experiences a salmonella outbreak. The herd's address is known with longitude and latitude coordinates, and the distance between all herds is mapped in a tabular data model in Power BI. This table allows for the identification of neighbors within a specified distance. The data model also provides access to salmonella status, and a flag is set if the status changes. When the status changes, an alert is sent from the database to DMS, notifying the farmer.

In addition to the alert, the farmer can access an embedded Power BI analysis that presents an easy-to-understand visualization showing where and which neighbors have reported infections. At the same time, a set of precautions and recommendations is provided regarding actions the farmer can take to prevent the spread of infection within their own herd.
