The Danish developed field robot, Robotti, can now add spraying operations to its list of work tasks. By combining the Robotti with a specially developed field spray from Danfoil, Agrointelli now has a self-propelled robot field spray – the Robotti Spitfire.
Robotti Spitfire has been classified as a two star New Product in the Agromek Stars Special Edition 2021 and is presented by Agrointelli.
The Agromek Evaluation Committee emphasizes that this newly developed spray from Danfoil is superb for a robot as it can operate with a low water/agent volume in narrow spray areas. With a 12.5 cm distance between the jet nozzles, it is ideal for strip spraying in row crops. It can also be applied for broad spraying in grain crops.
The Environmental Committee also stressed that, with the spray positioned on a robot, boom fluctuation is almost zero. The boom height is constant and there is an extremely limited environmental affect on the operators.
Agrointelli states that the Robotti Spitfire can be applied for a wide range of different row crops. It is possible to close the spray jets individually so that, for example, in beet crops, only three out of four jets are applied. In maize and potatoes, four out of five jets can be closed. This saves up to 80 percent of the spray agents.
