Time passes quickly at the largest exhibition of agricultural mechanization in Northern-Europe. There is a great deal of experiences that await the visitors, when the entire agricultural sector and suppliers, cooperative partners and customers gather together, during the four days in the MCH Exhibition Center in Herning, Denmark, to network, trade and share the latest knowhow.
More than 530 exhibitors will participate and 15 of these companies and organizations will present their exhibits in the outdoor areas. There are 128 New Product exhibits which have received Agromek Stars.
Claus Hermansen, Director, Agromek states: “We are pleased to note the many innovative companies and New Product exhibits that await the visitors to Agromek 2018. More than 215 New Product exhibits have been judged by our Evaluation Committee prior to selecting products for Agromek Stars. The selected companies are awarded with one, two or three New Product Stars according to their innovation value. There are many very interesting New Products to study and compare.”
Areas dedicated to biogas and future solutions
In addition to the many exhibits, there will be a large variety of activities this year. Some of these are well-known favourites and others will be presented for the first time.
This year, Agromek initiates three new theme areas. Hall E provides the framework for Agromania which is dedicated to future solutions. Agromania will present the latest in technology, digitalization, robots and innovation. Visitors will be able to gain new inspiration and the latest professional information both on the stands and at Speakers Corner.
Agromania will also hold the Agromek Student Challenge. This is an international innovation competition for personnel of the future. This competition runs over all four days and will involve 50 international students. The students will operate in teams and compete to provide the best possible solutions for cases supplied by selected Agromek exhibitors.
In Hall K, visitors will be able to attend Agromek’s completely new biogas section which involves both exhibitors and other interested parties in the fields of biogas and bio mass treatment. There is also a biogas scene with contributions from some of the leading participants in this sector.
The combined trade within the contractor, park, road and landscape sectors is gathered in Hall C. For the first time in Denmark, there will be a live workshop with active trade apprentices who will demonstrate the interesting possibilities provided by the various trade apprenticeships.
A lot more than stands
True to tradition, Hall Q will be the venue for our cattle show and judgement of some of Denmark’s elite dairy and beef cattle. There will also be the opportunity to hear all the latest regarding breeding involvements in the cattle sector.
On Thursday 29th November there will be a presentation of the Farmer of the Future. In addition to awarding prizes to three innovative farmers, there will be a three-course dinner and entertainment by the comedian Mark Le Fèvre
For the third time, Agromek will be the co-arranger of the NIF conference which takes place during the Exhibition on 27th and 28th November. This conference is arranged in cooperation with NJF (Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists) and EurAgEng and focuses on innovative solutions for farming of the future.
Claus Hermansen wound up by stating: “There is a lot to be seen and heard at Agromek 2018 and we look forward to giving our visitors a great experience. A major survey can be gained in advance via agromek.dk. We advise buying and printing admission tickets on your computer. The visitor can save costs and if one buys and prints the ticket in advance, one can skip the queue and thus save time to study the various stands.”
