Would you like to be a part of solving future challenges for the Agro Industry? Then you should participate in the Student Challenge at Agromek during the period 27th – 30th November.
Agromek has now opened for students to apply for participation in the first Agromek Student Challenge.
In teams of 5 the students will be asked to solve business and development cases which will involve companies that will be among the many companies exhibiting at Agromek.
Director Mads Kinch Clemmensen, Foodjob Nordic, who will be responsible for the recruitment of the students has stated the following: “This is a unique opportunity for ambitious students with a drive for innovation and food products to participate in Student Challenge. They will gain the opportunity to present themselves for the leading companies in the trade and to test themselves and their knowhow.”
Mads Kinch Clemmensen continued by saying that it is extremely popular to participate in this type of competition. “At the same time, the Agro Industry will have the opportunity to present their companies to talented young people who can then go forward as ambassadors for Agricultural companies.”
“The students will be able to add their participation to their CV in addition to creating new contacts. Foodjob Nordic has introduced similar arrangements in which we have had to select 50 participants between up to 2,000 applicants both domestic and foreign.”
Foodjob Nordic is in contact with educational institutes throughout Europe and Mads Kinch Clemmensen anticipates that Agromek Student Challenge will have participants from both Danish and international institutes.
“We select the students so that there are various fields of competence within the individual teams. During the days prior to the competition, we concentrate on team building so that the students can get to know one another right from the start.”
Agromek’s Director, Claus Hermansen looks forward to receiving applications from students all over the world who wish to compete at Agromek.
Claus Hermansen stated: “This will be an extremely open competition in which the participants will attend the exhibition in order to seek inspiration from the staff of the various companies. In addition, the students and visitors can enter into dialogue prior to the actual competition in Agromek’s Agromania section.”
The competition will terminate on Friday 30th November following judgement by an international jury consisting of academics and leading personnel from the Agro Industry. The first step involves the selection of five groups who enter the stage and present their case solutions. The final step involves the selection of the winning finalist team of the Agromek Student Challenge.
Agromek 2018 will be held during the period Tuesday 27th - Friday 30th November in the MCH Exhibition Centre in Herning, Denmark.
