On Tuesday, Vadersted was presented with one of the two Agromek Awards 2016 for New Products within the Fieldwork Implement section.
The company received the Award for its Seedeye product which makes it possible for the farmer to easily set the number of seeds per square metre without having to carry out a calibration test.
The Award Committee placed considerable importance on the fact that the work is much easier. All that is required is to key in the seed amount per square metre on the control panel – thus obviating the normal calibration test procedure.
The Committee sees a huge advantage – particularly regarding expensive hybrid seed types – that an alarm warns the operator if a seed share deviates from the pre-determined amount of seed.
Seedeye was one of the two winners of Agromek Awards within the Field Implement section. There were initially nominated six New Product exhibits within this section.
The winning exhibit was selected on Monday. A Committee of farmers and other users based its decision on which exhibit will have the greatest practical importance.
