Product description:

ActiveSteer four-wheel steering on Deutz-Fahr's 5-Series DF TTV models allows for the absolute smallest turning radius on the market for specialty tractors. The rear axle features two pivot points, which can be set by the operator to enable four-wheel steering, crab steering (dogwalk), delayed four-wheel steering for towing applications, and manual control of the rear axle. Automatic functionalities include automatic alignment of the rear axle when driving in reverse and automatic engagement and disengagement of four-wheel steering when raising or lowering the rear hitch.

Expert description:

A new Deutz Fahr 5 Series with ActiveSteer means a narrow-track tractor with four-wheel steering. The new four-wheel steering consists of two pivot points on the rear axle, whose functions are controlled electronically from the tractor's joystick in the cabin. This allows for the smallest turning radius in the market by selecting four-wheel steering, but there is also the option for crab steering, also known as dogwalk, for driving on sensitive surfaces such as sports fields, etc. Additionally, there is the option for "delayed" four-wheel steering when towing trailers, etc. The system features automatic alignment and disconnection when driving in reverse and when using the lifting/lowering function of the hitch. This ActiveSteer system on the new Deutz Fahr narrow-track tractors with continuously variable transmission makes driving incredibly flexible for daily tasks in row crops and for work in municipal settings.
