Agromek has launched Agromek Stars Special Edition 2021, where Agromek’s exhibitors have been given the opportunity to submit their product news for judgement. The exhibitor’s product news will be judged and rated by the same criteria as the well-known Agromek Stars, which you experience at a physical held Agromek. Our focus will still be to ensure a high quality of the judgement and rating of the product news. Read more about the concept here.
Search in the list below and find all product news, which have been judged and rated in this year’s Agromek Stars Special Edition. You can filter and search for respectively 1-, 2- or 3 stars news in the list below.
Tractors and combine harvesters
If your priority is keeping damage to soil structure to a minimum, you should choose an 8RX tractor, as it is designed with this in mind. It is ideal for hard-to-access sloping terrain and difficult soil types, it provides outstanding stability, even on side-hill terrain, and it doesn’t destroy the soil when turning. It ensures maximal flotation and has very smooth steering - even in narrow headlands.
The John Deere 8RX has four track units instead of wheels. While sharing a number of components with wheeled tractors, the front axle and rear axle assembly have been specially designed for track units. Special features of the 8RX include a longer axle base than wheeled tractors, giving it a full steering range, and achieving a turning radius that is even smaller than the wheeled tractor. Actual operation of the tractor is identical to the wheeled version, though the operator experience is more one of ”floating” over the ground. At the same time, there is considerably less ”wheel slip” compared to wheels, which also means greater transmission of tractive power. The driver will also notice a markedly better bearing capacity on any soft ground.
