The Funki MultiStraw used together with the VD-STRAW straw dispenser provides automatic distribution of bedding, a better working environment and improved animal welfare. It is a unique solution that provides animals with bedding 24/7, reduces wage expenses, ensures happier pigs, reduces straw usage and results in a better working environment. The MultiController control unit provides straw management in the same unit as feed and light management, which is good news for the farmer.
The system provides automatic dispensing of hay and therefore the possibility of dosing several times throughout the day. Hay distribution from the dosing units can be activated either manually or automatically. The straw is transported around by means of a chain system. The worker in the housing unit doesn’t even have to touch the straw. Overall, the result is a better working environment and improved animal welfare. The system has a newly developed dosing unit for pens in the form of a gantry lay-out, and it can be connected together across multiple housing units.
