Väderstad, represented by Semler Agro A/S in Denmark, introduces Proceed, a new planter setting new standards for precision and efficiency in agriculture. Proceed can place seeds with millimeter precision and handle a wide array of crops such as rapeseed, cereals, peas, and corn. The machine's precision results in significantly better crops, higher emergence rates, and faster sprouting.
The Agromek judges' panel awards this innovation a three-star Danish recognition, noting that Väderstad Proceed revolutionizes crop planting by offering single-seed planting at row spacings as narrow as 22.5 cm.
Väderstad Proceed receives three stars for its ability to plant with single-seed precision at narrower row spacings than conventional single-seed planters, which typically operate at a minimum of 40-50 cm, explains the panel.
Proceed utilizes Väderstad’s Power Shoot technology, ensuring precise placement for both large and small seeds. This differentiates it from other single-seed machines on the market, which often manage only one seed type and have limited flexibility in row spacing. Väderstad Proceed offers row spacings from 75 cm down to 22.5 or 25 cm, making the machine highly flexible and adaptable to different crops.
With Proceed, farmers can expect improved crop health, increased emergence rates, and reduced seed use, which also decreases the need for plant protection and treatments throughout the season.
