This intelligent depth control is an entirely new method. It has been approved as a Three Star, New in Europe exhibit at Agromek 2022.
Mechanical methods of developing and optimizing are under development that can reduce the application of pesticides. One of these new methods has now been approved as a Three Star, New in Europe exhibit at Agromek 2022.This is an intelligent depth control of the hoe machine’s sections so that depth control of the hoe is continuously adjusted. Formerly, there have only been fixed depth hoe units available.
This depth control will be presented at Agromek by CMN Maskintec A/S.
Agromek’s Evaluation Committee states: “Hoe precision is greatly improved by installing ultrasonic sensors that continuously adjust the hoeing depth at section level.”
The AEC continued: “This automatic depth control of the hoe sections is entirely new and unique. In particular, with varying soil qualities and fluctuating operating speeds, this is a considerable advantage.”
On a screen in the tractor cabin, the operator can study how the sections and hoe are operating in the soil. The operator can adjust to the required depth, thrust and reaction time in the event of various plant heights or weed volumes.
