Lely Sphere, which is a Three Star exhibit at Agromek, is a combination of known components which contributes to an improved environment in cattle housing.

Lely presents a new environment technology solution for the reduction of ammonia evaporation in cattle housing.

This new system – Sphere – is exhibited as a Three Star, New in Denmark product at Agromek 2022.

This new product is an entirely new combination of known components. In the cattle sections, the openings in the traditional concrete slotted elements are closed off with separation strips with stainless-steel drainage holes. This ensures that manure and urine are separated at floor level. The urine flows down to the slurry channel whilst the solid parts are collected by the Lely Collector manure robot that sucks the manure up and delivers it to a separate dump.

This results in a liquid part that contains a great deal of potassium and a solid part with the main content of the manure’s phosphorus.

Floor vacuum is installed in the slurry channels. The air is then lead off to an outdoor air purifier which clears the ammonia in the air with an acidification liquid. This liquid has a high ammonia content and can be collected and applied as liquid nitrogen fertilizer.

Sphere is a system that can be installed in existing cattle units which have slotted flooring and deep slurry channels.
