Danfoil’s new sprayer boom with aluminium profiles has been approved as a Two Star exhibit at Agromek
The traditional steel wires are replaced by aluminium profiles on Danfoil’s new sprayer boom – the SilverGlider – to reduce boom weight.
Danfoil has developed a new type of sprayer boom – SilverGlider – on which the traditional steel wires on the side booms have been replaced with rigid aluminium profiles.
These rigid, yet lightweight, side booms are to obviate hopping movements in rough terrain. The SilverGlider is also equipped with active sensors on the hydraulics so that the rigid boom quickly adjusts to terrain fluctuations. The suspension is normally only passive.
On the new Danfoil boom, suspension is aided by new regulating algorithms.
SilverGlider has been awarded Two Stars at Agromek 2022 where it will be presented by Danfoil A/S.
The new boom has two sections with in and out folding constructed asymmetrically. This means that folding speed changes during in and out folding. The boom moves quickly between the outer points and is finally slower. This reduces folding time in a simple manner.
