This new feed additive from DLG has been approved as a Two Star exhibit at Agromek
E-force vitamin E additive for calves applies natural vitamin E in alcohol form.
E-force is a new vitamin additive for calves which can be applied at the weaning stage. The E-vitamin status can be low during the weaning stage.
E-force applies natural vitamin E which is given in alcohol form, i.e., the form that can be directly absorbed by the calves. To protect the alcohol form, it has added lecithin which prevents oxidization.
This E-force vitamin additive has been approved as a Two Star exhibit at Agromek 2022. It has been developed and produced by Vilofoss and will be presented at Agromek by DLG.
The Agromek Evaluation Committee points out that this is the first time that it has been successful to produce a pill with natural vitamin E in an alcohol form and which, simultaneously, contains the other essential minerals and vitamins..
The Agromek Evaluation Committee stresses the fact that: “During tests, this Natural vitamin E in alcohol form has shown to have the highest biological activity. Previously, feeding vitamin E in alcohol form represented a challenge, due to the fact that it could be more vulnerable to oxidization and damage, if the feed is produced at high temperatures during the pelleting process.”
The reason for the need to provide vitamin E is that calf feeds after weaning typically contain less vitamin E than that contained in the milk. In addition, vitamin E from solid feeds is less assimable that it is from milk.
