New intelligent hot water supply from Grotrian has been approved as a Two Star new exhibit at Agromek
This new hot water tank from Grotrian ensures that all the water is maintained at the same temperature.
In this new, intelligent hot water tank from Grotrian, the entire 1,000 litres maintains the same temperature. In traditional hot water tanks, with layer division of the water, it is only possible to utilize approximately two-thirds of the volume in the tank.
This new hot water supply: “1,000 litre Grotrian Direct Wash for milking and cooling systems” is without pressure and is heated via a separate circuit from an electric central heating unit. Cold water is not added to the tank as long as there is consumption in progress. Power is thus saved for the end temperature as filling can be effectuated at a time when the water heat – for example, from a heat recovery unit – is at its highest level.
A frequency controlled pump is applied to circulate the water in the actual tank so that top and bottom temperatures remain constant. The same pump is also applied for pumping out the hot water.
The system is equipped with a PLC control that monitors the system operation regarding water consumption and power and simultaneously stores the data in a cloud-based data base. The system can also be extended to control wash automats on milking systems and milk cooling tanks. This involves monitoring of water volume, temperature, chemical dosage pumps, power consumption, etc.
