Geoteam receives Two Stars at Agromek for the hand-held analysis unit for grain, maize, soya and rapeseed
This new hand-held analysis unit – GrainSense A2 – greatly increases the possibility for analyzing crops out in the fields.
With this new hand-held analysis unit – GrainSense A2 – the possibility of analyzing crops out in the field has been greatly increased. The former version facilitated the measurement of protein and moisture in the crops. For example, this new version can also measure dry matter and oil contents in soya.
The GrainSense A2 has therefore been approved and classified as a Two Star exhibit at Agromek 2022 where it will be presented by Geoteam A/S.
The Agromek Evaluation Committee emphasizes the importance of being able to measure the dry matter and protein contents in whole maize.
The Committee states that this is a new and innovative method of being able to effectuate NIR readings in whole maize with a hand-held unit.
NIR readings have formerly necessitated stationary laboratory equipment. The GrainSense A2 is powered by battery and it only requires a few seconds to effectuate each reading.
Geoteam states that this new system includes GPS and cloud-based data storage. The data from the analyses readings can support the user’s decisions regarding crop sales or for the application of optimum feed mixtures.
