Big Dutchman presents an in-heat/gestation box as a two star exhibit at Agromek 2022
The rear gate in this new in-heat/gestation box for loose sows can be opened for free access for personnel.
The rear gate design on a new in-heat/gestation box for loose sows has been radically altered.
This is the background for this new box - the Free Access DKD 22 in-heat/gestation box - being classified as a two star New Product at Agromek 2022. It is presented by Big Dutchman (Scandinavia) A/S.
The rear gate is designed so that it can open and swing 180 degrees in the width of the box. This ensures easy access for personnel for insemination and inspection. At the same time, a transverse bar ensures that the sow is retained in the box.
This new box is also designed so that installations are low in the rear section to provide additional space for the personnel.
