This brake kit from Thyregod has been approved as a Three Star New in Europe exhibit
A preparatory brake kit for Tim trucks ensures that the trucks can be updated to comply with the coming regulations regarding double circuit brakes.
From 2025, trailer vehicles with single circuit hydraulic brakes cannot be towed by new tractors. Therefore, from 2023, all Tim trucks will, as standard, be fitted with a number of fittings so that these trucks can be later fitted with an additional brake circuit.
The extra brakes can be purchased as a kit that can be installed on the truck. There is no requirement for boring, welding or effectuating changes in construction, because the truck will be ready for double circuit brakes.
The Tim preparation kit has been approved and classified as a Three Star New in Europe exhibit at Agromek 2022 and will be presented by Thyregod A/S.
The Agromek Evaluation Committee points out that this new regulation is a considerable problem which is not taken seriously. Therefore, many buyers continue to order the old type of brakes instead of double circuit brakes, without the possibility to update. This new brake kit facilitates later conversion.
