Big Dutchman Launches Frequency-controlled Hammer Mills
21/10/2024
New technology that optimizes grain milling and increases flexibility is awarded two stars at Agromek.
Big Dutchman Scandinavia introduces the company's latest innovation in grain handling – frequency-controlled hammer mills. This technology allows precise control over grain milling, enabling variability in coarseness without the need to change sieves. At lower RPMs, coarse feed can be produced with the same sieve, enhancing both flexibility and efficiency in production.
The Agromek judges' panel highlights:
- Frequency-controlled hammer mills enable control over grain milling, allowing for variation in coarseness without needing to change sieves. At lower RPMs, coarse feed is produced with the same sieve, improving flexibility and efficiency in production. Frequency regulation occurs automatically through the system’s control.
This innovation has received two stars from the judges' panel and offers significant benefits for sow health by producing coarsely milled feed, which is particularly beneficial for gut health. The coarser milled grain is also suitable as feed for cattle and poultry.
With this technology, farmers can now automate the control of the milling process via BigFarmNet/MC99 at the component level, making it easier to adjust production and ensure optimal quality and efficiency in feeding.
