ACO Funki Launches FarmerLight: A New Environmentally Efficient UV Lamp for Barns

Innovative lighting that improves animal health, reduces bacteria, and promotes natural vitamin D production has been recognized as a three-star Danish innovation at Agromek.
ACO Funki A/S presents their new FarmerLight at Agromek, a UV lamp designed for barn environments that minimizes bacteria and promotes healthier animals through natural vitamin D production. FarmerLight utilizes a combination of different UV wavelengths that are harmless to humans and animals but extremely effective against harmful viruses, bacteria, and microorganisms.
According to the manufacturer, FarmerLight operates in three phases: First, it uses intense UV light at 265 nanometers to eliminate bacteria in areas without animals. Next, it employs UVB light to promote natural vitamin D3 production in animals, enhancing their immune systems. Finally, the lamp’s warm yellow light creates a natural daylight environment, reducing stress in the animals.
The lamp combines various UV wavelengths to kill harmful bacteria and viruses while increasing the animals' production of vitamin D. There are no similar lamps available on the market, notes the Agromek judges' panel, awarding it a three-star Danish innovation.
The product is already patented in several countries, including the EU, USA, and China, with the intent to reduce antibiotic use, improve animal health, and combat microorganisms.
